Lorraine "Lori" Hafner, Passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on July 8, 2020, at the age of 90. Beloved wife of Eugene "Gene" who preceded her in death, caring mother of John (Nina), James, and Judy, beloved grandmother of Paul, Rachel, Julia, and Nicole, great grandmother of Lucy, Emilee, Annie, Inga, Beckett, and Sadelynn. Preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Olga Proeber, and brother, Lawrence. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on January 29, 1930. Worked for many years as a secretary at the Federal Home Loan Bank Board. Along with Gene, her husband, was a founding member of Divine Shepherd Lutheran Church in 1959. She was active in church music as the director of the children's choir and along with Gene, volunteered in retirement for sixteen years in the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod's program for church construction called Laborers for Christ. A Private family service was held on Sunday, July 12, 2020, at Rost Funeral Home, Mountain Home, Idaho. Family will have a Celebration of Life Service when circumstance permits in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. If so desired, memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the charity of your choice appreciated.
