Lucille Wilson Gregory, 96, of Boise, formerly of Mountain Home, passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2021, at Valley View Assisted Living. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon, Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel, in Mountain Home. Chaplain Chad Estes will officiate. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery in Mountain Home. Lucille was born March 10, 1924, to Roy and Tempa Ellenwood in Filer, Idaho. Lucille was raised and educated in Idaho and married Barney Wilson, also of Filer, on November 20, 1943. They moved to Washington D.C., where Barney was deployed during World War II. While there, she was secretary at the Red Cross in Washington D.C., then secretary to the Assistant Base Commander in Dahlgren, Virginia. Upon Barney’s discharge from the US Navy in 1947, they turned to farming in Oregon, Wyoming, and finally back in Idaho, until 1961. Lucille worked at Caxton’s Printing in Caldwell, until 1966 when they moved to Mountain Home. Here she worked as secretary at the Mountain Home Town Junior High School until retiring in 1988. After retirement, she continued working part-time at the Mountain Home High School Library and Century 21 Realty office. She volunteered at First Congregational Church and the Elmore Medical Center Nursing Home until moving to Boise in 2014 to be closer to her family. Lucille is survived by her 4 children, Sharon Jassman of Boise; Jim (Sandee) Wilson of Boise; Ron (Loretta) Wilson of Boise; and Apryl (Blair) Barrington of Nampa; 4 grandchildren, Kent Wilson, Nicole Wilson, Jordan Snodgrass, and Corey Wilson; 5 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Barney Wilson; her second husband, D.R. Gregory; her parents Roy and Tempa Ellenwood; her sister Luella Schmidt; and her brother Gerald Ellenwood. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to your favorite charity. The family wishes to thank Doctors Hospice for their excellent care and kindness and a special thanks to Chaplain Chad Estes for the comfort he provided during her final months.

Rost Funeral Home
As the only funeral home in Elmore County, the staff at Rost Funeral Home work hard to be active members of the Mountain Home community and to be there to take care of families in every way possible when the need arises. Our funeral home opened in 2005 when Jerry and Janette Rost purchased the business. We’ve continued to grow along with Mountain Home. Jerry’s career began more than fifty years ago in Boise, and along the way, he acquired an 1897 horse-drawn funeral carriage, which we proudly display in our facility....
