Anthony Burton Mowery, age 23, died in an automobile accident on Saturday, March 20, 2021, in Owyhee County. A Celebration of Life will be held at JC Landing in Grand View on Friday, April 2, 2021 at 6:00PM. Anthony attended Grand View Elementary and in the sixth grade received the Presidential Award. His junior and senior years he attended Rimrock High School. Anthony was very athletic, play played football, baseball, basketball, wrestling and track. Anthony left high school when his grandfather got hurt and went to work driving semi and working with heavy equipment. Anthony went back to school and got his GED in 2020. He wanted to go into the US Army, but was deaf in one ear and couldn’t go. Anthony had many interests, and was an avid pool player. He played pool in every tournament he could get to. He was also best friends with his younger brother George. They spent a lot of time together. Anthony was truly a great friend, son and brother. He will be missed by all that had the pleasure of meeting him. Anthony is survived by his mother Millie Westphal, his three brothers; Christopher, Nicholas, and George, his father Richard Mowery, many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, several aunts, uncles and cousins. Millie, Chris, Nick and George are grateful to everyone for the prayers, thoughts and kindness they have received during this time of sorrow. Cremation was under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel.
