Carol Lee Thornton
May 3rd, 1959 - April 20th, 2022
Carol Lee (Kitts) Thornton, age 62, passed away at a Boise hospital, on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, from a long-term illness. A private memorial will be held at a later date. Cremation is under the care of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel. Carol was born in Wadsworth, Ohio to Charles and Bernadine Kitts. She resided in several states including Ohio, California, Oklahoma, Washington, North Carolina and finally settling in Mountain Home. Carol worked in the food industry working for The Desert Inn, Albertsons, Pilot, and finishing her career with Walmart. When she was not busy working, she enjoyed many styles of artwork, camping, fishing, cooking, reading passages from the Bible, and her dog Kilgo. Carol is survived by her daughter Selena Fisher of Tacoma, Washington; sister Brenda Lawler and her husband Alan of Mountain Home; brothers Louis Kitts of Boise and Richard Morris of Clearwater, Florida; as well as 3 nieces and 5 nephews. She was preceded in death by both of her parents and a son Christopher Fisher. Carol will be missed

Our funeral home opened in 2005 when Jerry and Janette Rost purchased the business. We’ve continued to grow along with Mountain Home. Jerry’s career began more than fifty years ago in Boise, and along the way, he acquired an 1897 horse-drawn funeral carriage, which we proudly display in our facility....
