Robert William (Bob) Pittenger, 78 of Robie Creek, Id. Died peacefully in the company of his family Monday February 19th, 2024, at the VA Willow Hospice in Boise, Id. Bob was born in Boise, Idaho on August 8, 1945, to Gordan W Pittenger and Betty J Pittenger. He graduated from Boise high school in 1965, then attended Boise Junior college (later BSU) in 1965 before enlisting in the United states army in February of 1966. He loved playing football at Boise high and Boise junior college. Bob served in Vietnam and he was honorably discharged in November of 1968. He re-enlisted in 1981 and again honorably discharged in March of 1982. He received the purple heart for his injuries in the U.S Army during the Vietnam war. Bob attended High School with his wife Barbara J Higgins and they were later married on July 14, 1999. He loved carpentry, fundraising, hunting, fishing and football. Bob was proceeded in death by his father (Gordon), mother (Betty), Sister (Barbara), wife (Barbara) and his grandparents. He is survived by his son Marc (Lily) Pittenger of Concord, Ca; Kyle (Jerrica) Pittenger, grandsons Kain, Kohl and grand-daughter Elie of Twin Falls, Id; stepson Darren (Kristen) Holland, granddaughter Chelsea (Justin) McMasters and grandson Heath Holland of Newbury Park, Ca; step daughter Tanya Holland , grandson Castro of Oaklyn NJ; step son Walter Holland III, grandsons Walter IV and Thelonious of Philadelphia, PA; Sisters Margaret Pickens of Gooding, Id and Linda Pittenger of Boise, Id and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and life long friends and Military buddies. We all will miss you and you will be loved Always!
