Born August 3, 1937, in Dekalb, Missouri, to Herman Paul Buthman and Mary Gertrude (Oliver) Buthman. Paul was a very devoted Son, Brother, Uncle, Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather. He loved his family deeply. Paul grew up on a farm in rural Buchanan County; Missouri, he worked on the farm growing up. Paul had many adversities growing up and overcame them all. He joined the Air Force in 1960; he was proud of the service he gave his country. He worked hard his entire life. In 1967 he went to work for TWA where he became an aircraft mechanic; after working a full career he retired from TWA. Paul was also a tobacco farmer, which instilled a work ethic into younger generations that is still evident in many generations behind him. Paul would yodel while he cut tobacco to keep time, it was music to everyone's ears. He loved to dance and play cards. If there was a pitch or canasta game, he was playing in it. Paul was always full of mischief, he loved to tease and pull pranks, always in a fun loving way. He loved seeing folks around him smiling and laughing.
