Melissa Catherine Figueroa nee Garski Age:43 Gilbert, Arizona On April 14th, 2023 Melissa Figueroa, Beloved Wife, Mother, Daughter and Sister passed away in a tragic Auto Accident. On October 8th, 1979 Melissa was born in Racine, WI to Michael and Brenda (Buchek) Garski. Her family moved to Tempe, Arizona in 1983 at 3 1/2 years of age. She was a 1998 Graduate from Corona Del Sol Highschool in Tempe and Graduated with Honors from ASU's College of Education in 2002. Melissa was a smart, funny, caring sweet soul. All who knew her, loved her. Melissa was very proud of her children and truly cherished her family time with them. She had a passion for caring for others and would always put their needs before her own. Another passion, one that she shared with her husband, were rescue dogs. They had five! Her favorite Artist was Garth Brooks and attended 8 of his concerts.Melissa's favorite holiday was definitely Christmas. She would begin to decorate her house, inside and out, the day after Halloween. Preparing for Christmas gave her great joy. She was employed by R.T.O'Sullivans, Mesa AZ for the past 11 years and was well liked by her many regulars that came in to see her, as well as the owner Ray and Coworkers. She made many friends while working there. She is Survived by her Husband Joe Figueroa, her children Coen Huempfner age 17 and Audra Huempfner, age 14, the father of her children Jason Huempfner all from Gilbert, AZ. Her loving parents Michael A and Brenda Garski of Chandler, AZ, and her beloved brother Michael J. Garski of Scottsdale, AZ. And many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends too numerous to mention by name. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Frank and Esther Garski, and Edward and Donna Buchek In Leu of flowers donations to her children are suggested.
