Eleanor (Meany) Schlosser, age 82, passed away on Wednesday, September 25th, 2019 at Sunrise Senior Living in Gilbert, AZ. Formerly residing at 405 Yale Ave., Point Pleasant Beach, NJ, Eleanor moved to her son Vincent’s residence in Chandler, AZ in February 2019 after being diagnosed in December 2018 with stage four metastatic cancer. Eleanor was predeceased by her parents, John and Carrie Meany, along with eight of her nine siblings, brothers, John Meany, Thomas Meany, Richard Meany and sisters, Mary Olson, Doris Hart, Evelyn Keating, Frances Barker and Patricia Spaziano. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Robert Schlosser, her son, Vincent Graziano and her sister, Nancy Brown. A beloved Mother and Grandmother, Eleanor is also survived by her four grandchildren, Melissa Shearer, Cassandra Boisvert, Michael Graziano and Gabriella Graziano, her two grandsons-in-law, Kevin Shearer and Wesley Boisvert, along with her four great-grandchildren, Lilliana Shearer, Andrew Shearer, Audrey Shearer and Macy Boisvert. Born in Point Pleasant, Eleanor attended Saint Peter’s Elementary and Point Pleasant Beach High School, then worked, and retired from, Ocean Federal Savings and Loan. A resident of the Jersey Shore for most of her life, she loved brisk walks on the boardwalk, relaxing by the Inlet and all the wonderful seafood the Shore eateries had to offer. Eleanor was a friend to everyone she met with her kind smile and gentle demeanor. She took great delight in the simple pleasures in life, like her daily morning conversations with her coffee clutch friends and playing Pinochle with her grandchildren. She was truly a beacon of light and will be sorely missed by all. A memorial service will be scheduled and announced at a later date in Gilbert, Arizona for immediate family. Eleanor truly cherished her life experiences with family and friends, so all written and photo memory offerings celebrating her life are very much welcomed and will be forever cherished by her survivors.
