Gail Smith

Gail Smith passed away in Phoenix, AZ on March 2nd, 2024 at the age of 72. She was a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, partner in crime, sister, and aunt to so many souls in this realm on Earth. She was an active member of the Living Fellowship Church. Gail graduated from Orange High School in Orange, NJ in 1969. Gail enjoyed lifelong learning and graduated from several universities, the most recent being Northern Arizona University for Nursing. She worked as an aid in optometry for her father, in a Bottle Cap Plant, as Special Education Teacher, a Counselor, and as a Nurse, even taking time away from her career to become a caregiver for her mother. Gail answered the call to serve our country in the United States Marine Corps. She served as a helicopter mechanic operator for the Marine One Squadron based in Quantico, VA, before becoming a commissioned officer. Her last duty station was serving as a 1stLT at MCAS Yuma in Yuma, AZ. Her Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 13th, 2024 from 10:30AM - 12:00PM at the El Shaddai Christian Center 1945 E 20th St, Yuma, AZ 85365.
