Gloria Albretsen Aller
October 19th, 1934 - September 21st, 2022
Gloria Albretsen Aller, (87) passed away, Wednesday morning, September 21, 2022, at the Assisted Living of Mesa. She was born in her great-grandmother's home in Hyrum, Utah, on October 19, 1934, the third child of seven, to Jule and Guelda Albretsen. She was the last of her siblings to be born at home. Gloria grew up on a family farm in Hyrum, Utah, picking raspberries, hauling hay, and taking the cows to the pasture in the morning and back home at night, except in the winter. She graduated in 1952 from South Cache High School where she enjoyed going to the basketball games and marching with the Sparta Pep Club. Gloria met Steve when he came to her High School and convinced her best friend and her to ditch school for that day. They were married for time and eternity in the Logan Temple on March 18, 1954. They moved from Salt Lake City in 1965 to Tempe, Arizona, because Steve got a job working for Garrett AiResearch. Gloria enjoyed traveling and visiting different states and anything that allowed her to spend time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Gloria was a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She will be remembered for her unconditional love of family, and her faith in Jesus Christ. She worked for Hill Air Force Base, Sperry, Motorola, Harlequin Books and retired from Arizona State University in 2005 after 19 years of exemplary service. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Michael (Leigh-Anne) Aller, Caline (Shaun) Marshall, Roshelle Aller, and Perry (Gina) Aller, as well as 12 grandchildren and 9 (soon to be 11) great-grandchildren. As well as siblings Cheryl Fullmer, Margene Leishman, Peggy Christianson, and Steven Albretsen. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and siblings, Kay Walsh and Bruce Albretsen. We would like to thank all of the Assisted Living of Mesa and Hospice nurses and staff who all gave our mother excellent care. A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 am Friday, September 30, 2022 at the LDS Church located at 2707 S. College Ave., Tempe, AZ 85282 preceded by a visitation from 10:00 am until 10:45 am.
