Born October 14, 1940, Ruth was called home to heaven on December 20 2014. Ruth is survived by her Husband of 57 years, Lorenzo Contreras, son James Contreras, daughters, Sylvia Luna, Irma Leon, son-in-law Eugene Leon, grandchildren Celena Kruszalnicki, Paul Leon and one great grandchild Piper Kruszalnicki. She was preceded in death by her father Frank Carranza, her mother Macedonia Barraza Carranza, her brother Emilio Carranza, and her grandson Steven C. Fernandez. Ruth was loved dearly by her family and will be greatly missed. A Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 23, from 6 to 8pm with a rosary at 7pm at Meldrum Mortuary 52 N. McDonald St Mesa, AZ. 85201. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday December 26, 10am at Queen of Peace Catholic Church 141 N. McDonald St. Mesa, AZ. 85201. Interment will follow at Mesa City Cemetery 1212 N. Center St. Mesa AZ. 85201.
