Francis Neil Houston "Frank", 87, of Tempe, AZ passed away March 18, 2013. Frank was born December 9, 1925 in St. Joseph, MO to Mabel Sylvia Smith Houston and Clyde Frederick Houston. He served his Country during WWII in the U.S. Navy. A graduate of ASU, he had a long and distinguished career in the Tempe School District as a Teacher and Principal, retiring in 1983. Frank was an avid sportsman and active in many community organizations. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, "Bobbie" Adair Houston; sons, Stan and Steve; daughters, Francene Hurt and Nancy Jones; 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a son Richard. A viewing will be held Friday, March 22, 2013 from 6-8 PM at Meldrum Mortuary, 52 N. Macdonald, Mesa, AZ. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1871 E. Del Rio Dr., Tempe, AZ, with a viewing one hour prior at 9:00 AM. Interment will follow at City of Mesa Cemetery, 1212 N. Center St., Mesa, AZ.
