Carl Louis Bramer passed away on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2012, at the age of 85. He was married to his Valentine, Mary Virginia Ginny, just a week short of 67 years. They came to the tiny town of Mesa from Michigan in 1949. Carl attended ASU and became a custom home builder, and later the developer of Orangewood Estates and The Groves subdivision, land exchanged with a simple handshake. Carl was a member of Mesa Country Club for 47 years. He loved the game of golf and especially his "Drum Rollers" golfing group. Carl was also a member of the HoHoKams, an organization of Mesa men committed to supporting the Cubs during their spring training. Carl had two daughters; Susan, married to Harv Smith, an Air Force Academy graduate, USAF pilot and career officer; and Diane, married to Guy Naus, an ASU graduate and prot
