J. "Sue" Norman, 81, of Canby, Oregon passed away at her home on Monday, May 28, 2012. "Sue" was born in Fayetteville, Arkansas, on June 12, 1930, the daughter of Jack S. and Norine Reed. As a child she lived on campus of the University of New York, while her mother atended college. Later the family moved to Wilsonville, Oregon where she was raised and educated. At the age of 16, she quit school to raise her children. She was an avid reader who loved cross-word puzzles, her cats, going to garage sales, and her wonderful husband Alvin R. Norman who she married on July 15, 1968. She was a member of the American legion Auxilliary. She is survived by her husband, Alvin Norman, daughter, Lucinda "Cindy" Ely-Dekorte. Brothers, John R. & Billy Behan. Sue was predecedased by her children, Lea Brown, Gale Ely, and David Norman. She is survived by seven (7) grandchildren, and eleven (11) great-grandchildren. Sue was laid to rest at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 Canby Funeral Chapel was entrusted with the care of funeral arrangements. www.canbymolallafuneralchapels.com
