Peggy Byrd-Rawls was born October 4th, 1951 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Ramona Rawls. Peggy attended Phoenix Union High School. Her hobbies were singing, drawing and making flower arrangements. Peggy also enjoyed helping people, she could connect with people from all walks of life and found joy in touching their lives in a special way. But her greatest joy were her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren; anyone who knew Peggy knew how much she loved her family. Peggy is predeceased in death by her mother Ramona Rawls, her younger brother Lafayette Baker and her grandmother Redesia Graves. She leaves to cherish her memories her four children Abena Salvant, Jerome Silvels, Rasheedah Saleem, Rasheed Saleem; Three sisters Shearrie Rawls, Laverne Baker, Valetta Canada; Seven brothers, Richard Rawls, Gregory Scott, Melvin Allen, Terry Scott, Edwards Simms, Larue Branch, Ronald Baker; Four Grandchildren, Jerome Silvels, Dominick Silvels, Domineece Silvels, Jeremy Ferguson; Three Great-Grandchildren, Jiselle Silvels, Jaelina Silvels, Jhene Silvels. She also has several nieces, nephews and cousins as well as a multitude of friends that she would consider family.
