Marty Fuentes

Marty Fuentes, a long time resident of Tucson, Arizona, passed away June 17, 2019. Marty is survived by his loving wife, Kim Fuentes; children, Margo (Jose) Chavez, Duke Fuentes, Noel (Genises) Isley- Fuentes and Jordan Fuentes; stepchildren, Cherity, Bryan and Rachael (Walter); grandchildren, Stephanie, Sarah (Eric), Teressa, Joey, Jayden, Renesmee and Ivy; great-grandchildren, Anyssa, Liliana, Larissa, Isella, Brook and Leah; siblings, Ernestina, Don (Vanie), Joaquin, Virginia (Ramon), Emelina and numerous nieces and nephews. Marty was preceded in death by his parents, Alfredo and Otilia DeLaOssa; and granddaughters, Rachael and Rebecca Chavez and his nieces Melissa Fuentes and Diana Escalante. Marty loved his country and served it proudly in the US Navy for 28 years. He wore his police badge proudly and with honor for 44 years with the Arizona Department of Public Safety, Tucson Police Department and Tohono O'odham Police Department. He was an honorable police officer/detective who looked for the truth in all his cases. Marty had many friends from all aspects of his life.....from family, law enforcement, media, attorneys, gun shows and to customers at the Old Father. He was well loved and will be missed dearly. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Adair Funeral Homes-Avalon Chapel, 8090 N. Northern Ave. Thursday, June 27, 2019. Funeral Service will at 9:00 a.m. at Adair Funeral Homes-Avalon Chapel on Friday, June 28, 2019. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Casa De Los Ninos in Marty's name.
