Nancy Jean Filer Caporale, 66 of Tucson, AZ passed away on July 16, 2016 at Banner-University Medical Center. Nancy was born in Buffalo, NY on February 17, 1950 to the parents of Warren “Bud” and Eileen Filer. Nancy graduated catholic high school at the age of 16 and was a member of MENSA (the high IQ society). Nancy was a social butterfly that loved meeting people and hearing their stories, along with reading, sewing and needlepoint. Nancy and Frank were married in 1971, moved to New York, then Oklahoma and resided in Tucson for 45 years. Nancy is survived by her husband, Frank Caporale of Tucson, AZ, son Erik Caporale, his wife Laurie Wharem of Chandler, AZ, daughter Jennifer Caporale, her husband John McClish of Virginia Beach, VA, and son Chad Caporale, wife Jennifer Caporale of Tucson, AZ. Nancy’s pride and joy were her four grandchildren, who she enjoyed spending time with, Stevette Caporale, Cade Caporale, Harper Caporale and Amelia Caporale. Nancy has two sisters, Elaine Bukowski, Linda Mancuso and a brother, Warren Filer, all from New York along with several cousins, nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff of Banner-UMC, for the wonderful and emergent care of Nancy. The situation was unexpected and handled with great professionalism, also gracious thanks to the staff and patients of DaVita Dialysis for the many hours of care for Nancy. Nancy’s remains will be taken to New York and be reunited with her parents and other family members.
