Raymond C Frey Jr

Tribute Raymond Cecil Frey Jr., 75, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2019 at home in Longmont, CO in the company of his children and dear friend Cheryl Rider. Raymond was born in Chesaning, Michigan to Gertrude (Hutton) and Raymond Cecil Frey Sr. On September 4, 1976 he married Diane Gross. Raymond earned a Bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University in Packaging Technology and a Master’s degree in Marketing from Central Michigan University. Through his career he worked as a packaging engineer at Storage Technology, Hewlett Packard, and Graphic Packaging. Raymond loved music and had a keen eye for photography, especially in nature. He had a passion for the outdoors and wildlife. He enjoyed cycling, backpacking, skiing, following college sports and fly fishing. He was passionate about cars and motorcycles, and loved working on them. Raymond is survived by his son, Justin Frey of Colorado Springs, CO and daughter, Janna Haar (Duayne) of Longmont, CO. He is also survived by his granddaughters, Avery and Rowan. At his request a private celebration of life will be held in the summer of 2020, including a backpacking trip to some of his favorite high alpine lakes in Colorado.
