Armando G. Cuaderno
July 13th, 1928 - December 25th, 2018
Our beloved father, Armando G. Cuaderno passed away peacefully to be with the Lord on December 25, 2018 at the age of 90 years old. Born July 13, 1928 in Manila, Phillippines to Arcadio and Jovita Cuaderno, Armando was a long-time resident of Marina, California. Armando served in the U.S. Army for 27 years, and then worked for the Army Research Institute at the Defense Language Institute for 22 years; devoting his life with great honor and committment to our country. He was also a long-time member of the Filipino-American Club in Marina, California. Even while raising a family, being in the military or working for the government, he always found time for higher learning, earning 3 college degrees and was always present for his children and grandchildren. Armando was very devoted and committed to his wife and family; always loving, selfless, compassionate and a giving father and husband. His love was always unconditional as he always put his family, as well as his siblings first. Armando was a very spiritual man, devoting himself to the Lord. Armando had a passion to help others, loved to ballroom dance, cook and even sing. His favorite song to sing to his children and grandchildren was "Tiny Bubbles". He leaves behind his wife, Violeta Cuaderno of 56 years, his children, Maridel, Joanna, Jason (Tammy LeeHong), Lee (Patty) Cuaderno, as well as 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind a brother, Leonardo Cuaderno and many nieces and nephews. Our father will forever be our hero, mentor and our guiding light. Visitation/rosary services will be held on January 10, 2019 from 4pm to 8pm. Memorial services will be held on January 11, 2019 at 11am, and he will be laid to rest with full military honors following the service. All will take place at Mission Memorial Park/Seaside Funeral Home, located at 1915 Ord Grove Ave. Seaside, Ca.

We Entrusted Armando Cuaderno's Care To
Mission Memorial Park
For almost 100 years, our cemetery has served the residents of the Monterey Bay Area. Mission Memorial Park opened in 1934 as Mission Memorial Cemetery and for many years was run by the City of Monterey. In 1988, Monterey Peninsula Mortuary opened on the grounds of our beautiful Seaside location. In 2007 we closed our Chapel of Seaside at our Noche Buena location and merged the two to become Mission Mortuary & Memorial Park....
