April 11th, 1929 - October 18th, 2010
Eleanor Garcia, 81, of Salinas, passed away peacefully with family by her side on October 18, 2010 in Salinas. She enjoyed gambling, family fiestas, and dancing. Eleanor loved being around her family. She enjoyed her pets, especially her dog "Knick Knack". She also enjoyed caring for her roses in the back yard. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by Daughter Rose Marie Garcia Bridges of Salinas Grandchildren Alicia and Felix Bridges Madlyn Petrillo Great-Grandchild Alexander Norman along with numerous nieces and nephews Preceded in death by Husband Felix Garcia Daughter Esther Alverson Son Felix Garcia, Jr. Brothers Pedro,Alejandro and Gregory Gomez sisters Ramona Escalante and Carmen Medellin Visitation will take place on Thursday, Oct. 21 1-9pm with Rosary recital at 7pm all at Healey Mortuary 405 N. Sanborn Rd. Salinas, CA 93905. Funeral Services will be held Friday, Oct. 22 1pm at Healey Mortuary. Final Resting Place at Garden of Memories Cemetery 850 Abbott St. Salinas, CA 93901.

He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
