Obituary Greg Max Brandt, 61, of Greeley, died at his home on Saturday March 12, 2016. Greg was born on December 12, 1954 at the Fort Sam Houston Army Base, Texas, the son of an Army officer. After traveling around the world as a child, Greg graduated from high school at Greeley West High School and made the Fort Collins/Greeley area his permanent home. He married Renae Schmidt in Fort Collins. Greg was a carrier for the U S Postal Service in Fort Collins, retiring in 2002. Greg loved the mountains of Colorado and spent lots of time hiking and camping along with playing his guitar. He had a real talent for music. He was loved by his wife, children and siblings and will be remembered as a strong willed individual. Survivors include his wife Renae Schmidt, daughters Jessica (Jason) Singley, Bethany (Dennis) Jaramillo, Samantha Schmidt, sons Dylan (Cassandra) Brandt, Austin and Benjamin Schmidt, brothers Kim (Maxine), Dane (Lynn) and Jan (Trish) Brandt and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Bret Brandt. A private family service of remembrance and scattering of ashes has been arranged.
