Jane Leanna Bennett-Hendrix Jane Bennett-Hendrix passed away on February 14, 2017 in Riverbank CA at the age of 91. Jane was born in Chico on June 26, 1925 to Nicholas James Stavros and Eva Stathos Stavros. She attended Chico High School. Jane first married Lawrence Edward Bennett, he passed away very early in their relationship. She began a 40 year career with Wells Fargo Bank as a loan officer. She would later marry Ernest W. Hendrix. Jane was an active member in the Modesto Greek Orthodox Church. She loved gardening especially her roses for which red were her favorite. Jane was preceded in death by both her husbands. She is survived by her daughter Georgia M Bennett Wells (Mike ), Nicholas J. Wells, grandson ( Michele ), and great grandsons Austin J. Wells and Riley J. Wells: Christopher J. Wells, grandson ( Joline ) and great grandson Cameron J. Wells all of Modesto, CA and beloved cousin Catherine Morrison of Fairfield, CA. The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to Rosa Delgado and family for providing the ultimate in care and love to "YA YA" during her declining years. Graveside committal services will be held on February 24, 2017 at 11:00 am at Chico Cemetery, 881 Mangrove Ave., Chico CA In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Guide Dogs for the Blind, 350 Los Ranchitos Road, San Rafael, CA 94901.
