Shirley Ann Teeter, 77, of Plymouth, CA, passed away Friday, February 10th, at her home with her family by her side. Shirley was born in San Mateo, CA on September 18, 1934, the daughter of Alice Lorraine (Randolph) and Roy Harvey Combs both previously deceased. Shirley's mom, Alice was born in Carbondale and her aunt, Viola Gold lived in Drytown. She and her family loved camping, vacationing and visiting her family in Amador County. In 1985 she and her husband, Frank made the decision to make Amador County their permanent residence, buying a home in Plymouth. Shirley would get a part time job at the 49er trailer park general store and concession area and would later become the store manager retiring in 1997. In her younger years Shirley belonged to the Job's Daughters and sang in their choir. Growing up she enjoyed school, her friends, camping, and traveling. She was actively involved in school events both hers and later of her two sons. Shirley and her late husband, Frank loved to square dance and were members of the Calico Cats Square Dance Club when they lived in the Bay Area. She enjoyed playing Bingo with her gal pals but Shirley's greatest passion was traveling and enjoying friends and family. She had been to Alaska on a cruise with her family, vacationed in Hawaii, and traveled by car throughout the United States more than once. Lastly she enjoyed a fall foliage cruise around New England and Eastern Canada with her close friend Jan Shannon of Plymouth. Shirley was a loving, caring, giving and supportive mother, daughter and wife. She is survived by her sons, Robert and his wife Linda Miller of Drytown and Richard Miller of Plymouth. She was preceded in death by her husband of 24 years, Frank Teeter. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society 1765 Challenge Way, Suite 115 Sacramento, CA 95815 or Hospice of Amador and Calaveras Counties P.O. Box 595, Jackson, CA 95642. Friends are invited to attend a celebration of life, on March 3, 2012 at her home starting at 1pm. Food and beverages will be provided.
