John Anthony Chacon, Sr., 55, of Chehalis, Washington, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2013 in Chehalis, WA. He was born on May 14, 1958 in Salinas, where he was raised. John joined the Marine Corp, where he proudly served as a Air Craft Mechanic. John is survived by his mother, Carolina Chacon daughter, Cynthia A. Chacon son, John A. Chacon, Jr. seven grandchildren sister, Virginia Chacon brothers, Jose N. Chacon, Jr. and Elias Chacon He is preceded in death by his father, Jose, N. Chacon, Sr. A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, July 8, 2013 10am at Madonna del Sasso Catholic Church 320 E. Laurel Dr. Salinas, CA 93906. Graveside Inurnment with Military Honors will follow at the Garden of Memories Cemetery 850 Abbott St. Salinas, CA 93901. A Gathering of Family and Friends will follow all services at the Madonna del Sasso Hall.

He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
