Domingo Sanchez Sr. 92 passed away peacefully Monday, July 25, 2016 at his home in Salinas, surrounded by his family. He was born November 25, 1923 in Pearsall Texas. Before Domingo’s retirement, he worked at the Spreckels Sugar Factory for 33 years until it’s closing. He was a Dallas Cowboy fan and loved listening to Tex-Mex “Tejano” music. He enjoyed driving his Semi Truck as a Repurposer of metal. To his family he was a pioneer of recycling. He loved traveling to Texas for his annual vacation with his family. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Nellie Sanchez his sons Domingo Jr, Manuel, Joe(Rosie) Sanchez his daughters Mary Murguia, Diana Sanchez and Sofia(Benny) Santos his brother Jessie Sanchez numerous grandchildren, greatgrandchildren and great-great grandchildren also survive. He preceded the death of his son Frankie Sanchez, Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2016 m1-9pm with a Rosary vigil at 7 pm, all at Healey Mortuary, 405 N. Sanborn Rd. Salinas CA 93905. Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, July 29, 2016 10am at St. Mary of the Nativity Church, 424 Towt St., Salinas CA 93905. Burial to follow services at the Garden of Memories Cemetery, 850 Abbott St., Salinas, CA 93901
