Beryl Sleater Harmon Oct.6 1934 - Mar. 7, 2013 Former resident of Moraga, CA Beryl Sleater Harmon passed away in her home in Bellevue, WA Thursday March 7, 2013. Beryl was born October 6, 1934 in Salt Lake City, UT. She grew up in Salt Lake City and attended Brigham Young University where she met her dear husband W. Glenn Harmon Jr. They both graduated from BYU after which Glenn joined the Air force as an officer. They traveled around the United States from TX to FL and back to CA. By the time Glenn completed his service in the Air Force, they had three small children. In 1961 they moved to Berkeley, Glenn's home town, so he could attend grad school at the University of California. During their time there they made lifelong friends. They spent some time living in Walnut Creek, CA and Colorado before settling in Moraga to raise their six children. Beryl spent time living in Scottsdale AZ, where her husband passed away and then in Flagstaff to be close to her eldest son's family. In 2006 she moved to Bellevue to be close to her eldest daughter's family. Beryl was an amazing woman who influenced all around her for good. She loved to read and was an avid follower of politics and college football. She was always well-informed and would always make sure you felt important and heard. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She will be sorely missed. Beryl is survived by her six children: W. Glenn III (Linda), Clif (Jill), Katie Johnson (Paul), Stuart (Kym), Michelle Anderson (David) and Matthew (Tara), 18 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sweet husband W. Glenn Harmon Jr. (d-Mar 17, 1995) and her grandson Andrew who passed away last week Wed. Feb 27, 2013. Visitation 10am-11am Fri Mar 15, 2013.
