Trudie Alice Peterson

Trudie Alice Peterson, age 93, of The Villages, FL passed away peacefully on Monday July 22, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. Trudie was born in Memphis, TN on January 20, 1926 and began her amazing journey of life many decades ago. She has inspired and loved so many people throughout her lifetime and it was truly a privilege and honor if you were fortunate enough to have shared her path. Trudie was an amazing woman with so many different accomplishments and triumphs. Her talent as an artist, stage performer and seamstress were only a few of her amazing skills along with one of her most joyful accomplishments when she stood alongside her friends and sang in the Choir as she celebrated her faith at Church. After a lifetime of love and happiness Trudie has left a lasting impression on so many people and lived every moment with no regrets. She is survived by her husband Joseph Peterson, her partner, her soulmate and her best friend. Their love and many adventures have been a legacy and example of living life to the fullest and is the ultimate testament of not taking anything, any day or any time for granted. Trudie is also survived by her amazing, supportive and loving daughter, Pat Carey (pre-deceased son in law, Jack Carey) and pre-deceased by her kind and caring son Joseph Peterson Jr., a U.S. Army Veteran who left this lifetime way too young. Trudie was a role model of how to live life to the fullest for all of her beloved grand-children and also blessed with great-children. Being "mom mom" was something that Trudie was very proud to be and was always there for everyone with her unconditional love, advice and perspective. She will be missed everyday. A celebration of her life will take place at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 1511 Buenos Aires Blvd, The Villages, FL on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at 11am. The family will receive friends from 10am until the time of service at 11am.
