Biography Doris Morehouse passed away April 23, 2016 at TRU Community Care Center in Louisville, CO Doris was born in Hopkins, MO on April 3, 1930 to Ruby Lynn Kivett and Ross Garten. She was raised in Hopkins and graduated from Hopkins High School in 1947. She married her high school sweetheart, Gene Morehouse, in 1948. They enjoyed 67 years together. Doris and Gene moved to Colorado in 1959, coming from Greeley, then Longmont and eventually Berthoud. Doris held various bookkeeping jobs throughout her life. The joy of her life was her family. Doris is survived by daughters, Tracy (Bob) Lee and Robin (Doug) Seewald, grandsons, Andy (Kamie) Lee, Kyle (Larissa) Seewald and Jay Seewald, great grandson, Lane Seewald, sister-in-law, Carole Oberhauser and Phyllis Morehouse along with numerous nephews and nieces. Preceded in death by her husband, Gene Morehouse (8-16-2015), parents; 6 brothers and 3 sisters. A Celebration of Gene and Doris’s Life will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday, April 30, 2016, First Presbyterian Church of Berthoud, 531 8th St., Berthoud, CO 80513. The Family would like to thank all the wonderful staff at TRU Community Care Hospice for the loving care they provided.
