Marion Roberta Crumley Carruth, age 87, went to be with the Lord after a brief illness on Sunday, November 12, 2023. A funeral service will be held Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 1 PM in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory with burial immediately following at Parkway Memorial Gardens. A visitation will take place between the hours of 11 AM and 1 PM. The Reverends Jacob Green and Joe Haseldon will officiate. Roberta was born May 4, 1936 to the late Curtis Crumley and Elizabeth Hanson Crumley in Gainesville, Georgia. She worked for 35 years as a civil servant at Robins Air Force Base and was a faithful member of Shirley Hills Baptist Church and the Donald Black Sunday School Class for over 30 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and reading. She is preceded in death by the love of her life for 62 years, Fred Carruth, brothers: David Crumley and Dicky Crumley; brother-in-law, James Harold Shields; and sister-in-law, LaDonna Crumley. Roberta is survived by her son, Chris Carruth of Warner Robins; grandson, Connor Carruth (Connor's mother, Penny Carruth) of Warner Robins; sister, Annette Crumley Shields of Warner Robins; sister-in-law, Rachel Reed Crumley of Bonaire; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made to Shirley Hills Baptist Church, 615 Corder Road, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
