Larry Breedlove
September 21st, 1939 - June 23rd, 2020
Larry Breedlove, 80, of St. Petersburg Florida passed away June 23rd 2020 at his home. He was born in French Lick, Indiana and lived in Bloomington also. When he was in his early 20’s he moved to Indianapolis, Indiana where he resided until his retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents Harrison Grover Breedlove and Gladys Olive (Leonard) Raney and his siblings Harrison Jr. and Fred. Larry was survived by his loving wife of 34 years Karen (Vail) Breedlove, his sister Betty Wagoner, his daughter Sonja Jo Breedlove- Cavallero (Michael) his son Anthony Breedlove (Melissa); grandchildren Sky Michaela, Kelsey Louise, Ridge Michael, Jalen Lee, Jacy Ann and Triston Anthony; great-grandchild, Aison. Larry retired as a Service manager of System Scale. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He loved to travel, he visited every state in the U.S. and abroad in Ireland, Mexico, Bahamas, and Canada. He loved to read and was deeply knowledgeable in current events and he was an avid weather radar watcher. His dream was to be a weatherman or tornado chaser. He was the captain of the Sandpiper II, his 40 ft cruiser at Lake Cumberland. For over 5 years Larry and Karen would spend every weekend there in the summer. He loved “Do It Yourself” projects and helping others with his talent of being able to fix almost anything. Saturday June 27th his close family will say their last goodbyes, with a celebration of life tentatively planned this September in Indianapolis, Indiana. Details to follow.
