Carolyn Ann Holmes

Carolyn Ann Holmes, 79, of Auburndale Fl., passed away on January 25th, 2024. She was born on March 7th, 1944, in Grant Alabama and moved with her family to Florida when she was four. Carolyn retired from Lake Wales hospital where she was a certified nurse assistant. Carolyn loved going to yard sales, doing jigsaw puzzles, shopping, and dancing. She also loved Christmas, her hats and all of her grand babies. She was preceded in death by her parents German and Pluma Blanchett, sisters Ruth, Inez, Shirley, and grandsons William Allen and BJ Mannis. Carolyn is survived by her children Cynthia (Charles) Henry of Auburndale, FL., Paul (Jeannie) Mannis Jr. of Lake Wales, FL., Selena Mannis of Winter Haven, FL., James Lee Mannis of Ardmore, AL., sister Betty Key, and Carolyn's fiancé Monroe Gainey of Haines City, FL., 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren. Carolyn will be missed by all that knew and loved her. A celebration of Life will be announced by the family at a later date.
