Vera Addison

LAKE ALFRED - Mrs. Vera E. Addison, age 91, of Lake Alfred passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2011 in Lake Alfred due to natural causes. Mrs. Addison was born in Ware County, GA, and had lived in Lake Alfred for the past 30 years coming from New Jersey. She was a homemaker and enjoyed traveling and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Addison was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Addison in 1996, 3 sisters, Era Fullard, Cleo Gilliard, Ruth Ricard; and brother J.L. Lee. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Shirley Gilliard of Auburndale; her daughter Vera Elff of Lake Alfred; sister Ophelia Brown of Dover, FL; sister and brother-in-law Nola and Joe Smith of Baxley, GA; sister and brother-in-law Betty Ann and Dude Hinkle of La Belle, FL; and brothers Sampson Lee and Robert Lee, both of Waycross, GA; 5 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren. Funeral services will take place Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Kersey Funeral Home, Auburndale, with visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
