Mrs. Edith Hallman Harp, age 82, (September 24, 1931) of Auburndale passed away Friday July 18, at her home due to kidney disease. Mrs. Harp was a native of Tuscaloosa, Alabama and had been a resident of our community since 1949 coming from Greenville, Mississippi. She was a homemaker, the Matriarch of her family, an avid reader and kept up with the news and politics. She had a zest for life, God and her church, Eastside Baptist and never met a stranger. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Dolphus Harp Sr., son Dolphus "Jim" Harp II, and her parents Foster and Elsie Hallman, brothers and sisters. Survivors include her daughters Phyllis Harp (Ron) Daggett of Sebring and Holly Harp (Tony of Augusta, Ga.; son Steve Harp of Auburndale; Seven Grandchildren and Nine Great Grandchildren.
