Laurie Cheshire

On Thursday, January 21, 2021, Laurie Cheshire, loving wife and mother, passed away at age 68. Laurie was the daughter of John and Arlene Lund. She graduated from Winter Haven High School in 1970. In 1972, she married Jimmy Cheshire and they raised one daughter, Emily. Laurie also ran the Computer Lab at Garden Grove Elementary for over 30 years and was the first person awarded the title of Polk County’s Paraprofessional of the Year in recognition of her outstanding efforts. Laurie was loved by and was lovingly devoted to her grandchildren, family, and friends. She lived life to its fullest and adored spending time with those she loved. She loved to craft and cross stitch. She enjoyed going shopping, camping, and planning a good party. Laurie loved her life and left laughter and sparkle wherever she went. She is survived by her husband, Jimmy, her daughter, Emily Brown (Donald), and her grandchildren, Keeley and Jackson. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
