Dolores Sterbenz, 87, Kaukonen, of Sun City Center, FL, passed away December 5, 2012. She was a previous resident of California, PA, and Midlothian, VA. She graduated from California University of Pennsylvania in 1953 and taught elementary school for 35 years as well as acting as the editor of the California Press, a local newspaper. Dolores was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Toivo Kaukonen. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Nicki Kaukonen, daughter and son-in-law, Christy and Craig Siler, two grandsons, Adam Siler and Erik Kaukonen, and one great-grandson, Andrew Kaukonen. The family will receive friends 10 a.m. to 12 noon, Saturday, December 8, 2012, at the Sun City Center Funeral Home, 1851 Rickenbacker Drive, Sun City Center, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Donor's favorite charity.
