Carl Sterling Blackburn, 79 of Sun City Center, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at Sun City Center Hospice House, Ruskin. Fl. Born in Dunbar, Virginia on August 19, 1931, he was a retired parts manager. Sterling is preceded in death by his daughters Susan and Sharon Blackburn, a son Jackie Rucker, 2 brothers, 5 sisters. Survivors include his wife Janice Blackburn of Sun City Center, Florida, son Michael (Shelly) Blackburn of Pennsylvania, daughters Carla Ann (Mark) Snyder of Pennsylvania, Kimberly Rucker of Virginia, a brother Elbert M. Blackburn, Jr. of Virginia. Sterling is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Inurnment will be at Fort Lincoln Cemetery, Brentwood, Maryland. Arrangements are under the direction of the Sun City Center Funeral Home, 1851 Rickenbacker Drive, Sun City Center, Florida
