Lawrence C. Stites & Joan Stites (Joan A. Bolander) It is with great sadness and love that the family of Larry Stites and Joan Stites announces their individual passing. Lawrence "Larry" C. Stites, 90, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2017 in the care of Hospice at his home in Sun City Center following a brief illness. Larry was preceded in death by Joan as she passed away at 81 in Hospice care Sunday, December 30, 2012 in The Villages, FL. Larry and Joan were married for 63 years living in Rockford, Illinois until 1984. They spent the remainder of their lives together in Florida, living in Bonita Springs and The Villages. Larry spent his last 5 years in Sun City Center, FL. Larry and Joan are survived by their 4 sons, Mark Stites, John Stites, Timothy Stites and Lawrence C. Stites, Jr. "Chip" and their families, including 10 grandchildren. Funeral services will be private.
