Joyce Cranford Futch Melbourne Beach, FL Joyce Cranford Futch, 82, of Melbourne Beach, Florida passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 23, 2014. She was born on September 3, 1931 in Alexandria, Virginia to parents Walter and Laura Cranford. She graduated from George Washington High School in Alexandria in 1949. Joyce was a loving wife, daughter, mother and grandmother. A gifted vocalist, she performed at many grand venues in the Washington, D.C. area, including the Kennedy Center, The Nation's Capitol, and several Cherry Blossom Festival events, prior to the family moving to Melbourne Beach in 1976. She was also an astute business woman and a wonderful caretaker of her parents prior to their deaths. Joyce was preceded in death by her loving husband, the late Senator Howard E. Futch. She is survived by her children, Duane C. Futch and his wife, Catherine Futch of Bentonville, Arkansas; Brian T. Futch of Melbourne Beach, FL; John G. Futch of Jaco Beach, Costa Rica; Janice Futch Guilbeau and her husband, Ed Guilbeau of Melbourne Beach, FL; and five grandchildren, Andrew Futch of Bentonville, AR; Jonathan Futch of Salt Lake City, Utah; Tamara Futch of Melbourne Beach, FL; Eddie Guilbeau of Melbourne Beach, FL; and Aria Guilbeau-Horton, her husband Joshua Horton, of Montgomery, IL. The family will receive visitors on Saturday, March 1, at 1PM at Beach Funeral Home, in Indian Harbour Beach, Florida, with Memorial services to follow at 2PM. A private family burial will be held after the services.
