James Pellizzi

PELLIZZI, James “Jim”, 76, of Tampa, FL passed away Monday, October 21, 2013. He was born in Brooklyn, NY and spent his adult life in Long Island/Queens before moving to FL in 2005. Jim served two years in the Army Reserves and was a retired New York City Police Officer. He was Catholic by faith, and known to help anyone in need; Jim was a loving father and grandfather, loved his dogs, boating, fishing, the Yankees, and Dean Martin. He is preceded in death by his wife of 26 years, Mary Lou; brother, Vinnie Pellizzi, Sr. and sister, Anita Perry. Jim is survived by his son, Jamie Pellizzi and his fiancee, Heather Scull; two daughters, Diane Famiglietti and Christine Lagnese; sister, Alice Walsh and her husband, William; brother in law, John Redfern; grandchildren, Michael and Samantha Lagnese, Rocco Famiglietti, Jr., Gregory and Alyssa Famiglietti. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Killian’s Catholic Church on Saturday, October 26th at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at McCourt and Trudden Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. and Friday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Moffitt Cancer and Research Center.
