Herdman, Helen Marcella, 81, of Pinellas Park, died Tuesday January 20, 2004 at Mease Hospital-Dunedin. Born in McMechen, West Virginia, she came here in 1971 from East Springfield, Ohio. She was a Navy Specialist 1, 2nd Class during WWII, receiving the Victory & American Campaign Ribbons, a homemaker and a member of Eastern Star, Chapter 360 Union Port, Ohio. She is survived by a son, Roy Herdman of Pinellas Park; a daughter, Carol Porthouse of New Port Richey; a brother, Elwood Hibbs of St. Petersburg; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; seven nephews and a niece.
