Hughes, Dorothy Lee, 88, of St. Petersburg, died Monday, May 15, 2006 at Carrington Place Convalescent Center. Born in Martinsburg, WV, she came here in 1988 from Washington, DC. She was a secretary with the US Government Veteran?s Administration for 25 years before retirement and a member of the Episcopalian faith. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Lewis L.; a son, Dennis W. Batt, Thousand Oaks, CA; a stepson, Steven L. Hughes, Winnipeg, Canada; a niece, Sylvia Arnett, St. Petersburg; two grandsons and one great-granddaughter.
