Sam C. Latona, 87, of Pinellas Park, FL, died Saturday, November 16, 2013. Mr. Latona moved to St. Petersburg in 1983 from his native Buffalo, NY and was an Army veteran of WW II. He was a retired truck driver and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pinellas Park. He was an avid bowler and was a member of the Florida Senior Stars and Florida Seniors Mixed Stars Bowling leagues at Seminole and Sunrise Bowling Lanes. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Mary Ann Latona; 1 son, Charles T. Latona of Hamburg, NY; 1 daughter, Maria T. (Eugene) Jurkowski of Cheektowaga, NY; 2 Brothers, Joseph Latona of Jacksonville, FL, Charles Latona of Getzville, NY; 1 sister, Jean Slepinski of Amherst, NY; 6 grandchildren, Ray (Ashley), LouAnn (James), Sam, Richard (Dana), Charles, Lisa; and 2 great granddaughters, Hailey and Charlotte.
