Paul F. Weber, 91, went to be with the Lord on February 13, 2014. He was born on November 7, 1922 in Westfield, Iowa. He was the oldest of four and their mother died when Paul was eight. We believe that, and growing up on a farm during the depression, made him the determined, sensible, strong man he became. He graduated from the University Of Iowa (where he met his wife of almost 70 years, Jane) and served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific during WW II. They moved to St. Petersburg, FL in 1950 and, with his father-in-law, James Shanks, built Crosswinds Mobile Home Court. Later, Paul developed Edgewater Pines in Seminole and then Terra Ceia Manor in Palmetto, FL. After early retirement, Paul and Jane enjoyed traveling and eventually bought a summer home in Linville, NC. They enjoyed twenty years of summers in NC and winters in St. Petersburg. Paul enjoyed Golf, working with Meals On Wheels, and helping Lees McCrae College in Banner Elk, NC. He was a Past Master of Nitram Lodge #188 F&AM in St. Petersburg. He is survived by the love of his life, Jane Shanks Weber, four children, Stan (Brenda) Weber of TX, Janis Weber of Seminole, FL, Bruce Weber, and Lori Weber (Mark) Rhodes both of NC. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, a stepbrother, Gordon Weber of CA, a stepsister, Sharon of IA, a cousin, Bonnie Fisher of GA, cousin, Roman Schommer of MN, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. The family would like to thank the wonderful people who have cared for him at Lake Seminole Square, The Inn At Freedom Square, and St. Petersburg General Hospital. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Seminole United Methodist Church 5400 Seminole Blvd. with Rev. David Carefoot and Nitram Lodge #188 F&AM officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family requests memorials to: All Children's Hospital 501 - 6th Avenue South St. Petersburg, FL 33701 $(document).ready(function(){ });
