Eunice (Felte) Francis passed away at the age of 94 on June 7, 2021, at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, Washington. She is survived by daughters, Maria Miller and husband, David (Amissville, Virginia), Ursula Charela (Olympia); son, Michael Zimmermann and wife Billie (Murfreesboro, Tennessee); daughter, Carmen Gaspar, (Olympia); 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Eunice was born in Katowicz, Poland, on September 27, 1926, and was preceded in death by her parents, Adolf and Lubow Felte; her brother, Bruno; and her eldest daughter, Tamara Coleman. In 1963, she immigrated to the United States to begin a new chapter in her life. Multi-talented in linguistics and the fine arts, Eunice was also an excellent homemaker, and ensured that her family was always well taken care of. She was interested in all religions but aligned herself with Christianity. Eunice will be sorely missed by all who had the good fortune to live with or meet her. Her light shone brightly and she enriched all whose lives she touched. We are deeply saddened by her loss but we know she is now safe, secure, and at peace in God’s loving embrace and presence.
