Nancy Ann Elliott, otherwise known as Grandma Candy, was born in Tucson, Arizona on September 1, 1950. She passed away on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at the age of 67 in Tacoma, Washington at her home. Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Edward Luther Elliott, Jr., her son Samual Hagerman and wife Connie, daughter’s Sandra Lee and husband James and Bonnie Nau and husband Eric. She is survived by 6 grandchildren, Athena Hagerman, Kathryn Lee, Amy Lee, James Lee, Logan Nau and MaerynNau. She is also survived by her uncle Blaine Myers and aunt Peggy Gillian, sister Lynn Wetzel, brother Benjamin Monahan and wife Deanna and by her nieces Dori Gonzalez, Judy Hudson, Melissa O’Connor, Melanie Potter and nephews Tom Chapman and Adam Moericke and their children and spouses. Nancy had an enormous heart. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and niece. She was a simple type person with a complex personality. She loved things like crocheting, painting, home arts, Mexican food, organic gardening and playing slot machines. She was big into astrology, numerology, family tree research and believed heavily in aliens. Yes, aliens, according to her they have been on earth forever. She was licensed as a minister, was an Air Force brat, a leader for a scout troop, loved travel and camping but she hated red cars from an accident she had in London. She would talk your head off to hide her fears and to share her strong political beliefs. Her absolute favorite time of year was during Christmas, so much that she started shopping around Labor Day! She also loved classical music and was a pretty darn good dancer. She never missed sending cards to loved ones for birthdays and special occasions and she doted on her children and grandchildren. Her favorite movies were the Ten Commandments, Ben Hur, King of Kings, Close Encounters, Wizard of Oz, Wonderful Life and A Christmas story. Her favorite TV shows were Little House On the Prairie, Touched by an Angel, Mash, AndyGriffith and Highway to Heaven and now she’s on her highway to heaven. Nancy will be dearly missed. The family had a private celebration of life on August 11th with a eulogy given by her brother, Benjamin Monahan on August 11th.Cremation services were conducted by Edwards Memorial Funeral & Cremation Services.
