Jack Thomas Cowan Jr.

Jack Cowan February 5, 1949 - August 28, 2022 Jack was born in Tacoma and lived most of his life in Tacoma's North End. He was the eldest of Jack and Alma Cowan's four children, He attended Holy Cross School, Mason Junior High, Wilson High School and Tacoma Community College. He retired from Auto Warehousing Company after 36 years. Jack loved sports and was involved on teams from an early age. He played baseball, basketball and football. He learned to golf at Allenmore Golf Course. It was his favorite activity until recent years. At Allenmore he served as handicap chairman for 28 years. Through these sports activities he made many cherished lifelong friends. Jack was married to Jane Fiorino Cowan for nearly 34 years. They had one son, John Raymond. He left behind one brother, Jim, two sisters Barb and Joan Waldock, a nephew, three nieces, their children, a great-grandniece and several cousins. He will be missed. Jack had a gift of making everyone who was part of his life feel valued and appreciated. A sincere thank you to the Home Hospice Team of Kaiser Permanente for their excellent and compassionate services. A celebration of life is being planned for Jack's birthday next year.
