Dennis Michael Wakin

Dennis M. Wakin was born in Tacoma, WA on November 24, 1939 and passed away peacefully on January 29, 2016. Dennis graduated from Lincoln High School in 1957. Upon graduation, he and his twin brother enlisted in the US Navy. After an honorable discharge from the Navy, Dennis moved to Orick, California where drove a logging truck for his Uncle. It was in Orick, where he met his wife of 53 years. After he and his family moved back to Tacoma, Dennis owned and operated DM Trucking Co until 1981. Soon after, he started working for Continental Lime (Graymont) where he held multiple positions including plant manager until retirement in 2005. Dennis was a member of the Puyallup Golf Club for 25 plus years, played many rounds of golf and met many great people and made many friends. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents Michael and Agnes Wakin. He is survived by his beloved wife Sandy, daughters Debbie (Bill), Dawn (Bart), twin sons Dean (Kristi) and Dale (Katie) his twin brother Donald (Cathy), 5 nephews, 9 grand and 4 great grandchildren.
