John D. Murray
April 14th, 1937 - November 27th, 2015
John "Jack" Murray, 78, of Englewood passed away on Friday, November 27, 2015 at Fawcett Memorial Hospital. Born on April 14, 1937 in New London, CT he had been a resident of Charlotte County for twenty-three years coming from Brentwood, NY. He served in the US Navy 1958-1961. Jack was the owner/operator of John Murray and Son Painting for more than twenty years prior to retirement. He was interested in golfing, fishing, bowling and cruising. He is survived by his loving wife for fifty-four years: Gail Murray of Englewood, FL; one daughter: Stacy (D.J.) Olney of Englewood, FL one son: Steven (Karen) Murray of Land O' Lakes, FL; two sisters: Betty Newton and Jane Green both of Groton, CT; three grand children: Kaitlyn, Christopher and Jennifer. A memorial celebration of Jacks life will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at the home of his daughter from 2PM until 5 PM. Please call Stacy at 941/468-1216 for furthur information.
