Born in Milwaukee, WI on February 25, 1930, Ed worked as an electrician at the Harnischfeger Corporation in West Allis, WI for 44 years. During that time, he attended extra schooling to become a CNC master maintenance electrician. He was a musician, and not only played in many of the local clubs and ballrooms in the Milwaukee area, but also taught young aspiring musicians as well. After retiring, he relocated to Bradenton, FL where he continued to play combo and "big band" gigs in the Sarasota/Bradenton areas. He is survived by his wife Peggy and his 6 children (Kent Flanders - Oak Creek, WI; Mark Flanders - New Berlin, WI; Donna Mayne - West Allis, WI; Lynn Cowe – Perth, Australia; Lori Brannon – West Virginia; and Diana Tully - Bradenton, FL), stepson (Ted Lawson - Newtown Square, PA) and 15 grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, please make donations on behalf of Edward Flanders to the Manatee Memorial Hospital Foundation.
