John Jepsen, age 79, of Venice, FL, passed away on November 27, 2021. He was born in Waterloo, Iowa to John and Marie Jepsen on January 7, 1942. He was a machinist for the McDonnell Douglas/Boeing Aircraft Company. He retired in 1997 and moved to Florida from Overland, Missouri. John loved spending time at the Venice Yacht Club and boating on the Gulf of Mexico. He also enjoyed playing golf. John is survived by his sons, John G. Jepsen, Jr. of De Soto, MO and Matthew W. Jepsen of Texas; grandchildren Amanda Wandling of Moscow Mills, MO and Krystal Basler of De Soto, MO; and great grandchildren Stella, Eleanor, and Loralye. John was preceded in death by his wife Deedrie. A memorial service will be held at Emmanuel Lutheran Church on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to The Venice Yacht Club Charitable Foundation.
